This day is my last 24 hours in Indonesia. I didn’t even believe that tomorrow I will have my first flight to United States. I was so excited and had been waiting the day to come. I had prepared anything so far; academically ready, financial support, immigration documents, and some orientations. But it seemed that I missed something –mentally ready to get out from my family. I have a little sister who I love so much. She is pretty beautiful with her dark skin. I used to play with her, anytime. I couldn’t imagine that I will leave her and my parents. After graduating from high school, I got a two months holiday and nothing I did other than looking over her when my parents go to work. I’ll be missing her. Today I spent most of my time with her and my parents, hoping that I wouldn’t terribly miss them when I arrive in the US. Coming Around I have a lot of relatives. Today I went to each of them, acknowledging that I would go to the US, and apologizing of any mistakes I have ever made. The good thing about this was I got a lot of pocket money – the additional exciting thing of coming around. Besides, I visited the graveyard where my grandfather and my ancestors be graved. It’s like a tradition in my family to get to the graveyard and ask God’s forgive for them. My Last Dinner with My Parents Today was still the middle in the Ramadhan Holy Month. When the sky goes dark and the sun goes down, we enjoyed our break-fasting dinner. It was my last dinner with my family – Dad, Mom, My little sister, and my brother. I will not forget my mom’s soup hard-flavored soup and crispy chicken. I don’t think that I will find it later in the US (red: and I know have terribly missed that cuisine). My father told me some advice of being a good man who care to its family, country, and religion wherever I am.
